Hi everyone,
I've been curious about the Website creation feature available in my Profile (*ProZ file space*, which leads to proz.com/phpgroupware/phpwebhosting), but I'm not sure whether it works properly.
I've been trying to upload a test file, I've uploaded it somewhere, but have no idea how I can access it or delete it.
For instance, the Delete button on the phpgroupware page seems not to be connected to any file list.
Are there any FAQs available?

Thanks

Hi! As far as I know all webpages land in a public_html folder in the web directory. Currently I am also trying to put up a website, actually more experimenting with the .php aspect on the local machine.

file manager? Aug 19, 2004

Hi Brandis,
it was just a test txt file.
I just don\'t see a file manager in there.
Edit/delete buttons seem not to be attached to anything.
It\'s only the upload button that lets me see the files on my local machine, but I can\'t see anything on the server.

Hi I use ftp client to upload my .html pages, which will be automatically projected. Or are you planning a .php based website, then the files should have .php ending. Try renaming your file name from .txt to .php with some content to it. You might see your page. or use the following example.

My first PHP script

Hi there!

About the different hosting options as ProZ.com Aug 19, 2004

Hi Tanya,

Allow me to clarify the hosting options available at ProZ.com.

Hi Tanya,

Allow me to clarify the hosting options available at ProZ.com.

The phpgroupware service, available by clicking "Edit your site" in your profile page, is a very simple hosting solution that is primarily used by members to store images for use in the forums and profile pages. In the near future this will be replaced with an image uploading feature that should be easier to use. (Any existing files in the phpgroupware system will continue to be available as they are now, but the phpgroupware interface for managing those files will be removed.)

ProZ.com is also beta testing a full-featured hosting service that is provided for free to platinum members. (Domain registration is not free, and an advanced hosting upgrade is available for a nominal fee with advanced hosting features. But platinum members can use the standard hosting package with a subdomain of my.proz.com at no charge). It is this hosting service that Brandis is referring to. More information about the beta hosting service can be found here: http://www.proz.com/?sp=host/info

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Jason

HI ! Thank you. You cannot expect us to be so ingenious as you. But the solution is still great. Now I have to understand and learn the .php structure and how one can ride it ( in the meantime, there is yet another version of PHPBB 2.0.10 , hence that I had to ask you for the DB stucture and details. Atleast that´s what the message from PHPBB said.
