Death of Claude François, one of the most popular singers in France (Sinatra's "My way" is a cover from C. François).

What a trauma! I spent several birthdays in front of the TV watching tributes to him...

In case you don't know, I'm a Leo. Growlll!

Here are the events:
- 1959 : US President Nixon and Soviet Chairman Khrushchev debated about communism and capitalism. I hope Nixon won the debate.
- 1990 : Iraq starts to invade Kuwait. I think I was working that day.
- 1969 : Apollo 11, the first manned spacecraft that reached the moon, returned safely to earth. A real cause to celebrate and I was in India.

- 1979 : Ted Bundy, a serial killer, was executed. Thank goodness!
- 2005 : Lance Armstrong won his 7th consecutive Tour de France.

I quite forgot, in 1980 the Soviets launched a shuttle with a Vietnamese astronaut on-board. I told my friends they were celebrating my birthday since they have to suck up to me so much. Anyway, I'm a Leo - King of all Animals. Hopefully, I'm not endangered.

It seems lots of good things happened on my birthday, especially in years ending with 9s.
I wonder what 2009 would be like.

November 20 (Skorpio):

In the website Gianni made reference to it says:

20th [of] November, 1985 - U.S.A. - Windows 1.01

Microsoft's launches it's first version of a multi tasking graphical user interface GUI for the PC ( this allowed the user to run multiple windows with multiple programmes switching between one and another). Windows 1.01 was the very first version of Windows launched. Windows 1.01 and all older versions of Windows prior to Windows 95 required MSDOS installed on the computer and the user would install Windows from floppy discs.

But since I also wanted to find a musical reference I liked, I cheated and found another similar b-day website where it says that:

[November 20,] 1976 - George Harrison [and Paul Simon appeared/played together] on Saturday Night Live

You can watch them by visiting the following videoclip link [I wish I could embed it here... ]:

Obviously you mean to point out that your birthday is on one of the most important days of the Christian year (though Good Friday is the most important day, and Jesus was not actually born on 24th December, but is thought to have been born in the season of early Spring).

Congratulations for having your birthday on such a special day! (My birthday is on 28th December).

The U.S. government declared my birthday a holiday. Wasn't that nice of it? January 15th is Martin Luther King day. Also, the first Super Bowl (American football) was played on a January 15th. Otherwise, nobody every said "Beware of the ides of January"
