How is it possible to find a coworker and also expand the network to discuss various topics similar to translation (not only about this). Since translating is a rather lonely profession, finding a co-worker comes to mind frequently.

Powwows (meetups organised through Proz.com) can be a good way to meet translators. A few people are hoping to organise an in-person powwow in São Paulo in August of this year: https://www.proz.com/powwow/7168
