Bacon is never ever kosher even in the unlikely event the Chief Rabbi were to cook it for you - I do eat a veggie version though.
Steph - Illy is definitely the best - great taste, you and the coffee.

I am currently living in Portugal and the coffee here is great.
Couldn't agree more about the coffee!
If I start to feel sluggish from caffeine overdose, I sometimes switch for a day or two to "British" tea (milk, no sugar).
Ditto, as regards the coffee.
In my case, I switch to Rooibos tea (no milk, no sugar). I usually ask my mother to bring some over from SA each year, but when I'm out of stock, there are a number of shops where you can get it locally ... at a price!

I eat nothing during translation except mineral water. It helps to remind me that better things await when the translation is finished. Also I take about 4 breaks a day to do exercise for 10/15 minutes (cycling, boxing, basketball or gym).
Watch the teeth, replacing them costs like replacing a house!

nuts

A few years ago my sister gave me a gift from a well-known UK healthfoods store called "Eat Raw Desk Drawer" - a tub of fancy dried nuts/fruit/raisins. Whilst not uncalorific, I reckon its a healthy option and great to nibble on throughout the day. It does fit nicely in my desk drawer, and i can just take a small handful whenever i want.
I have however had the odd occasion when my hand meets an empty tub and I was sure i only filled it up that morning...

Maybe it's time to have your drawer checked for squirrels? Just saying...
