Highly specialized in technical translation

I offer English to Italian or vice versa, as well as French to Italian, German to Italian and Spanish to Italian. I am a location-independent freelancer specialising in translating, post-editing (light and full), proofreading, subtitling and copywriting. I have 44 years' experience translating engineering texts, agriculatural, paper and textile machinery, medical devices, medical assays, robotics, logistics, handling, ISO, EU and other standards.  Today I also offer MTMQE.

I work quickly and reliably. I can adapt to the timing, contents and level of difficulty of the text to be translated. 

I am based in northern Italy, close to the French border. I have been working for a large number of translation agencies, car and machinery manufacturers, and major companies worldwide, including in the US and Korea. Having worked as a sales manager worldwide and a European manager developing local markets, I am an expert in marketing. I have been Italian lead for an important email marketing company in the US.

 Since 2019, I have developed my post-editing and MTPE skills, learnt to subtitle, and started translating subtitles for companies and major marketing organisations in Europe, the USA, Australia and Asia.  As well as working on films and documentaries, I have created several e-learning courses, webinars, and presentations involving transcription, subtitling, and MTPE. I have also translated and subtitled quite a few soap operas, historical series, interesting marketing slogans and short adverts. 

Throughout my diverse career, I have translated poems, children's books, environmental essays and a few books, as well as websites. I have been a consecutive and simpultaneous interpreter mainly in food and wine, and natural parks sector.

 My updated specialities include diversity, equity, privacy, equality, inclusivity and medical devices and reports.  I also have expertise in food and wine thanks to my 20 years in the hotel industry. Geopolitical translation is another strong point in my career, and I work pro bono for Proz and OLI.
