This online training on Wordfast Pro is composed by a self-paced eLearning module and two online meetings of two hours each one, conducted in real time by a Wordfast certified trainer.
E-learning module: (2 hours)
2 hour self-paced module to be completed during the week before the training.
Online meetings: (4 hours total)
First meeting: September 9 from 15:00 to 17:00 GMT.
Second meeting: September 16 from 15:00 to 17:00 GMT.
• Online meetings will be recorded and videos will be made available for free to all registered and paid.
• Both meetings are part of the training (ie. these are not optional dates, students have to attend or watch the recording of both sessions to complete the training). If you can't attend one meeting you will still have access to the video recording.
• No software purchase is needed (read prerequisites for more info).

Summary:
Setting up and use the general features of Wordfast Pro. A workflow approach from translation quoting to delivery will be used and practical exercises will focus on creating and using glossaries and translation memories.
Learning objectives and course program
By the end of this training, you will be able to use Wordfast Pro to:
1. Create a translation project.
2. Create a translation memory and glossaries.
3. Import TMs and glossaries.
4. Analyze a file.
5. Translate, edit, and proofread DOC files.

Prerequisites
• Students must be computer literate and fluent in English.
• No previous knowledge of Wordfast software is needed.

Steps to take your training:
1 - Register & Pay

To purchase your seat at this session please click on the "buy" button. Available slots are limited and will be assigned to registered and paid participants as soon as payment is reported. Early payment is advised in order to secure participation. Allow some time for payment processing if you are paying by wire transfer.
If you have purchased training as part of a software + training offer you should redeem your credit by clicking on the "use credit" button on the right.
After your payment is received, your status will be changed to “registered and paid” and your spot for the session will be secured. An invoice and receipt of payment will be sent to you for your records.
2 - Access the E-learning modules
After payment is processed, you will receive an email with instructions to access the eLearning module. This should be completed during the week before the training (estimated dedication: 2 hours).
3 - Attend the training session
72 hours before the training session takes place, you will receive an invitation to join the session. Please, click the registration link or button provided in the invitation email to join the session at the announced time.
Participants should not delay in making payments to ensure classes are not canceled due to low enrollment. We suggest then you purchase your spot as soon as possible.

Recommendations
• For the visual section of the training course, we recommend that you have a 64kbps link. This means using an ISDN line or Broadband. Wireless connection is NOT recommended.
• For the audio section of the training course, we recommend that you have a headset or speakers.
• We recommend that you log in 30 minutes in advance of the start time to prepare for the training course.
Courses will be open half an hour before the start time. Please login before the start time to ensure that everything on your system is working correctly.
