I interpreted the question as "How much of the total annual income of you're family": am I wrong?
Translation gives 100% of my personal income, but without my husband's income we would't be able to survive.
If my interpretation is correct, I find the question very interesting since it could give an answer to this other question: "Is it possible to sustain a family, or at least give a significant contribution, with freelance translation work?"

I read it the opposite of Cristina, but it remains a valid question:
individual or family income.
Like Cristina, 100% of my income comes from translation, but without my husband's income, we couldn't make it.

I used to keep a second section of 25 % in the technical draughting sector but the translating was / is much more profitable and there is much more work there.
So now I am at 100 % translating and enjoying it more and more.

True, I had another job before, and did not take the risk to translate full time before my son was nearly through higher education, but I have supported my "family" being me, myself and I + my son (part time, now) for the past 10 years. My only "other income" is bank interest (close to zero nowadays).

I find it both reassuring and inspiring to have a footing in both camps.
The income from teaching assignments although small is regular and stable over longer periods, wheras the nature of most translation jobs is that they are shorter lived and therefore less 'planable'.

I used to say that translation gave a better hourly rate than teaching (due to transport, preparation, overall costs), but I am no so sure any longer.
