Hi! I am Daniela. Nice to meet you!

I am a Romanian linguist and native sworn translator for English, French and Spanish living in South-West London, England. I have been working in the translation field since 2005 and I am sworn by the Romanian Ministry of Justice since 2009. I am an official translator and interpreter of the Romanian Embassy in London (#37 on the official list).

What is unique about me is that I have been studying languages, linguistics, and translation my entire life. I hold a B.A. (University of Bucharest, Romania, 2008), and an M.A. in Conference Interpreting and Translation (Transylvania University of Brasov, Romania, 2010), followed by Ph.D. studies in Translation and Applied Linguistics (University of Bucharest, Romania, 2011-2015). I am also the proud recipient of two scholarships, a Leonardo Da Vinci scholarship – internship in a translation agency in France, 2007), and a full year scholarship in the Paris IV Sorbonne University (2008).

My fields of expertise are legal, medical, pharmaceutical, IT, technical/engineering and localisation (games, software, website). I also enjoy book translation, subtitling for TV/film and scientific translation.

I work mainly with the Romanian community in the UK, solicitors, notaries and local organisations. As well as with numerous translation agencies worldwide, and direct British and international companies requiring expert Romanian translation services.

Interesting fact: I love Asian languages. I've had the chance to study Korean in the university. I'm currently studying Mandarin and I love it!
