XXXX students have a unique educational opportunity and have been selected from a vast number of candidates. no es exactamente una película

I studied Film and Television at the International Film and Television School of San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba (EICTV). My professional interests have taken me to Germany, the United States, Bolivia and The Netherlands, where I have both worked and lived.
I translate film projects and screenplays and also subtitle short films, documentaries and feature films. My main clients are based in Costa Rica and Chile, and with them I have developed very close work relationships. Several of their translated projects have been submitted to important film festivals and film funds across Europe, including Rotterdam, Berlinale, and Jan Vrijman Fund.
In 2005, I completed the Certificate in Translation Studies from the University of Warwick and the Instituto Chileno Británico, in Santiago de Chile. It was there where I grasped the importance of culture - based translations. I have applied this concept in my translations for advertising, tourism, human resources and, of course, film.
English is my second language and I consider myself to be fully prepared to take on any assignment in various working fields. Please read the sample translations enclosed in my Portfolio.
