Linguist Project Manager coordinating the work of translators, MTPE editors, reviewers, DTP specialists and subtitlers in a myriad of translation/localisation projects following the most regid industry standards regarding quality assurance, monitoring and compliance at all stages of a project.

I am highly computer-literate and possess an extensive knowledge of the latest techniques, applications and resources in this industry in order to localise all types of materials, including websites, software applications, hard copies, technical documents, PDF’s, brochures and marketing materials, etc.

I work on multiple management platforms (Plunet, Wordbee, XTRF, etc.) and a wide range of CAT tools including Trados Studio, Wordfast, Memoq, Phrase, Smartcat, etc. Most recently, being a PM coordinator for US Translation Company (UT, USA), I used Plunet Business Manager coupled with MemoQ Manager in order to produce the most efficient results in management -from interacting with clients, producing quotes, launching complex projects, follow-up and deliver according to deadlines, issue invoices and wrap up projects in the system.

Freelance translator from May 2004 until present

Freelancer working in numerous positions among which in-house Spanish & Portuguese LQA tester, freelance translator, in-house translator, MTPE specialist, remote reviewer, live captioner, etc.

Translation and localisation of all sorts of documents and contents from English and French into Spanish and Portuguese such as –

IT, software & web-contents such as websites, software and applications, QA testing and reporting, videogames and all related marketing materials and literature.
Legal documents such as certificates, diplomas, agreements, etc. 
Financial-related texts such as annual reports, budgets and valuations, corporate records, audit-related documents, invoices and financial statements, etc.
Scientific and medical texts such as press releases, clinic trials, biopharma texts,  etc.
Industrial and specialised texts such as technical memos, manuals & reports, inspection documents, whitesheets, manufacturing specifications, etc.
Academia & publishing houses such as books, PhD thesis, teaching manuals and workbooks, catalogues and magazines, research papers, etc.

All these projects were done following standards, specific requirements and instructions and deadlines requiered by each client. All translations are proofread by a partner of mine in order to guarantee the highest quality.

Freelance conference interpreter from February 2009 until present

After being trained at University degree on simultaneous, consecutive and liaison interpreting techniques by professional interpreters and having a real work experience interpreting in booths during seminars and congresses, I have pursued my career as a freelance English<>Spanish, English<>Portuguese and Spanish<>Portuguese interpreter for the last +15 years.

I have done all sorts of missions ‒helping speakers, auditors, consultants and engineers to accomplish their goals abroad, becoming a language bridge whether using simultaneous, consecutive and liaison interpreting modality.

Among the companies I work for, I can list hundreds of projects and interpreting missions -including the WHO 4-day Healthy Cities 2018 Conference held in Belfast, the WTO 5-day Geneva Trade Week co-hosted or the UNIDO Bridge for Cities, the Carbon Inequality webinar from Oxfam International with UN representatives, COP28 sessions in the UK Pavillion, UNIDO-PlanetGold 4-day conference in Batangas, Philippines, ADB Ministerial Summit in Manila, among many others.  

I am also fully equiped in order to provide remote interpreting services, including a virtual booth platform on demand for events held via Zoom, Teams, Webex and other applications.
