After obtaining my master's degree in translation in 2009, I completed a postgraduate European master in specialised translation in 2010. The latter covered classes on translation technologies, audiovisual translation, website localization as well as a three-month internship with a translation agency.

Over the years I've worked on various assignments including
general translations, audio transcriptions, subtitling for the deaf and
hearing impaired, tutoring, co-writing a style guide for a translation agency and
writing band biographies for websites.

Although I've been working with texts and languages after my graduation, I started my professional career in 2010 in international trade and logistics. In the past decade I've gathered experience in logistics (shipping in particular), maritime insurance, metallurgy and documentary credits, among others. 

In 2023 I started as freelance linguist, focusing on translation, editing and proofreading in particular. Among my specialisations are medicine and medical research, life sciences, logistics, metallurgy and sports.

In my spare time I've been playing guitar in several bands and ensembles for over twenty years. I also write, record and produce my own music.

Besides linguistics, logistics and music, sports and cycling are my great passions.
