I am a native German speaker with an academic and professional background that is characterized by internationality and long-term stays in the USA, Central and South America. I hold a degree in International Business Management, a trilingual study program with English and Spanish as foreign languages.

In 2002, I relocated to Spain where I live in the autonomous region of Catalonia.

WORK EXPERIENCE & PERSONAL SKILLS
After having worked for the Spanish Tourist Board in Munich (business language Spanish), my work experience now is based on helping Spanish-, Catalan- and English-speaking companies attract new customers from German-speaking countries. 
 
I translate, transcreate, localize and proofread their marketing materials, website copies, press releases etc. and take part in business meetings and trips where I act as an interpreter.
 
My areas of expertise are tourism, sports and marketing, especially because I enjoy working with texts that have to be emotionally appealing.
 
My strength lies in my ability to deliver natural German texts that address the culture and lifestyle of the intended audience, rather than a straightforward translation.  Since I have become completely bilingual and bicultural, I can make sure that my translations resonate with the target audience.
 
Personally, I am passionate about travelling, skiing, alpine tours, climbing, kayaking and yoga and that's why I am keen on translating and localizing travel reports, blogs, catalogues and digital apps for the tourism and outdoor sports sector.
