"Extreme roller, se la rifaba, dice la banda. Se la rifaba en todo" - I am translating an article written by a mom in Mexico. This is part of her describing her murdered son and how he was in life.
I know what "rifaba" and "banda" means in my own context, but have no idea what she is trying to say here. This is a rush, volunteer translation for a non-profit. Can anyone give me some help with this please? Time is of the essence!
Thank you!!

She is talking slang so wicked seems to fit but "the best" if you want to be less slangy and "the best" also fits in the second use.
I chose "crew" rather than "gang" for obvious reasons.
I guess you could also say "everyone" instead of "his crew".
