Comment: "Thanks everyone for your help and speed. I really appreciate it.
My translation is for a British Education Department, which means I cannot really use American gradings.

distinction / magna cum laude
D stands for "passing", so I guess your "aprobado" is all right.

A+
A+ is the closest - it is in fact "first class with distinction" (and remission of registration fee). When I took "A" levels, D was certainly a fail (suspenso)

Honors Graduate/Honors Student
Son las dos frases que he usado (al traducir) y visto más en los certificados de calificación de alumnos en el Distrito Escolar en el cual trabajo.
En cuanto a la escala de calificación, la que se usa en este Distrito es:
A= Outstanding
B= Commendable
C= Capable
D= Developing
F= Fail/Limited or Minimal proficiency

Honor Roll, Dean's List
The correct translation depends on the level of the school to which you are referring. Primary, Middle, and Secondary schools in the US use "Honor Roll." In higher education, university and college, we use "Dean's List."
According to our standard grading system in the US for secondary and higher education, the following scale should reflect equivalency to scale in Spanish:
Excellent = A
Above Average = B
Average = C
Below Average = D
Failing, Unsatisfactory Completion of Course Requirements = F
