español term

en caso de técnica

español al inglés Medicina Medicina (general) CT scan
This is in a whole-body CT scan report for a patient with lung cancer and spinal metastases:

Glándulas parotideas, submandibulares y tiroidea sin alteraciones destacables *en caso de técnica.*"

The last part doesn't make sense to me. Is there a wrong word somewhere, or are there words missing? How should I translate this here?

Thanks again.

I should say thanks, gracias and vielen Dank to everybody for your comments. I did use "within the limits of the technique" in the translation.
Stephen D. Moore Jul 18, 2017:
Makes a lot of sense If you wished, you could render it "within the limits of this technique/method."
Leda Roche Jul 17, 2017:
I also agree with "mediante esta técnica"
Anne Schulz Jul 17, 2017:
Yes That was my spontaneuous interpretation of the phrase as well. Whole-body CT scan is just not the most appropriate technique for detecting abnormalities in relatively small glands.
lorenab23 Jul 17, 2017:
Bingo! That makes a lot of sense.
Joseph Tein (asker) Jul 17, 2017:
¿mediante esta técnica? Later in another section of this report, they say: "No se observan lesiones oseas de nueva aparición mediante esta técnica." I wonder if the phrase I'm asking about here is a mistaken variation of this?.
