Perhaps he's giving some advice to a striker "You should think more about the opponent's goal and not about ours", i.e. don't drop back to defend but stay up front and try and score.

In that case you can paraphrase it and say something like "He only thinks about attack, never about defence." In this case "arco de enfrente" is a euphemism for "attack".

En inglés, como hemos dicho yo y Justin, se dice "opposition's/opposing goal". Solo se refiere al "goal line" durante los lances del juego, e.g. "I don't think it (the ball) crossed the goal line", ó "the defender kicked the ball off the goal-line."
En este caso, lo del "arco de enfrente" es un eufemismo. Kahn se queja de que Klinsmann se enfoca más en la portería del adversario (en atacar) y no en la suya (en defender). Espero que resulta más claro ahora.
