Does anybody know how to exclude tags from spell checking in MS Word (Office XP)?

Use the style and set it to "do not check" Aug 9, 2007

Usually tags are formatted with a certain style - when you set this style to "do not check", the spell checker should recognize this.

Thanks for the advice, Jerzy!
I'll try this method.

Use find/replace to mark them as "No Proofing". Say, what do these tags look like?

TRADOS tags Aug 10, 2007

Hi Samuel,

the tags I'm talking about are TRADOS tags enclosed in "< >" for formatting a text. Often they appear in the middle of a line without spaces between them and a word or a punctuation. When spell checking the finished translation, they appear attached to a word so the spell checking stops every time.
Anyway, the suggestion made by Jerzy seems to work.
So, the problem is solved.
Thanks!
