Spanish term

Sí es verdad, y me consta

Spanish to English Other Law (general) Associate lawyers
Muchas gracias.

I WANTED A SHORT ALTERNATIVE, SO I PUT... Yes, it is true, and I am certain.

Yes, I can attest to the fact that it is true

Podría ser una posibilidad sin hablar de "evidence"

agree Jennifer Levey : or '...can vouch for the fact ...' (would be more usual in UK English, and is a trifle less formal than 'attest')

it's true and that's a fact!

certainly one way to say it (corroborated by Collins)

should have said "it is true, and that's a fact", emphasising "is"

I know that this is the truth.

OR:

This is the truth as I know it.

Given your (very welcome) explanation, this seems to be all that the utterence mean. *Attest* has a formal legal implication that seems out of place here (again, per your explanation) and Carol's option is inherently ambiguous (i.e., *what" is the fact: the statement[s] asserted or that the person has made an assertion?).

Suerte.

Yes, I am certain it is true and can attest to it

Me parece suficientemente formal y no hace necesario pruebas o testigos

It is true to the best of my ability and knowledge

No se si te sirve, es lo que se usaria en un tribunal.

yes, it is true, and I can vow for it

neutral JaneTranslates : Do you mean "vouch for it"?

Yes, it is true, and I know so for a fact

This would be a less informal option, spoken by someone such as, say, a witness, but a lawyer, etc. would probably use something more high end...

sorry, not "less informal", but "less formal"

This would be a less formal option...
