Important: Those who purchase a seat in advance may be able to pay an "early bird" or cheaper price, and those that confirm participation later or last minute, may likely get to pay a higher fee. In some training sessions a price increase based on the number of registrants may also apply, i.e. the first 15 registered pay one price, the next 10 pay a a slightly higher price etc.

Nesta oficina virtual, vamos falar sobre a relação entre os tradutores e os escritores autopublicados e o papel dos profissionais do idioma na nova era da publicação digital, quando os tradutores já não são somente uma peça no quebra-cabeças montado pelas editoras, mas sim uma parte importante da iniciativa de produção e publicação literária independente. Falaremos ainda sobre como publicar independentemente um livro que você tenha traduzido ou escrito, disponibilizando-o tanto no formato impresso sob encomenda como no formato digital.

Bio: Rafa Lombardino is a translator and journalist from Brazil who lives in California. She has been working as a translator since 1997 and, in 2011, started to join forces with self-published authors to translate their work into Portuguese and English. In addition to acting as content curator at eWordNews, she also runs Word Awareness, a small network of professional translators, and coordinates a project called Contemporary Brazilian Short Stories (CBSS) to promote Brazilian literature worldwide.
