has been a peaceful and happy one. I am writing to update you on the
publication that xxx and I are editing and to make a proposal
regarding your contribution to the publication.
Because of our other commitments, progress on the project to date has been
slow, but the proposal is currently under consideration by the Oxford Series
on Islamic Art (UK) and the Pennsylvania State University Press (USA). I
will be in touch with any news as soon as we have heard from these
publishers.
I recently met with xxx to discuss the direction in which the project is
moving. Based on our final list of contributors, we have developed a new
conceptual framework for the project that we believe will result in a much
stronger and more cohesive contribution to the field. I am therefore writing
to you to ask if you would be interested in preparing a new contribution,
based on our revised concept of the publication.
Traducción - español Permítame manifestarle, en primer lugar, mi deseo de que haya disfrutado de unas buenas vacaciones navideñas. Le escribo ahora para ponerle al día sobre la publicación que xxx y yo estamos preparando —a la que provisionalmente le hemos puesto el título New Studies in the Material Culture of Al-Andalus (Nuevos estudios en la cultura material del Al-Andalus)—, y también para hacerle una nueva propuesta sobre su participación en este proyecto.
