inglés al español: Comité Consultivo
Texto de origen - inglés The purpose of this document is to set out some ideas for changes in the present structures and administrative arrangements within the Pan-European Structure which address some of the issues proposed for the Review. The consultative document is being submitted to the 141 affiliated organisations in Europe for their views.
Organisations are asked to forward their comments to the ETUCE Secretariat by 25th January, 2008, at the latest.
After the outcome of the consultation process is considered by the Review Committee, proposals for amendments to the EI European By-Laws/Statutes will be drafted by the Committee. These proposals will be considered by the Regional Committee/Executive Board which will be asked to present them to an extraordinary European Conference/General Assembly to be held in June, 2008.

Connect the system as shown in figure 27.
2. It is important that the transmitted fields from all of the TX detectors are in phase. This is accomplished as follows:
i. Switch the TX1 detector in the slave box to OFF by setting DIP switch S2[6] to OFF
ii. Adjust the master box to two detectors as described in section 6.2.1 (1-8), page 24
iii. Switch the TX1 detector in the slave box ON by setting DIP switch S2[6] to ON
iv. TX phase adjustment: Observe the DIST LEDs in the master box.
If the red LED lights up, the phase between TX1 in the master and TX1 in the slave is OK.
If the green LED lights up, change TX1 phase in the slave box by setting DIP switch S2[4] in the slave box to the opposite position.
(An oscilloscope at TP400 shows that the voltage increases if the red LED lights up)
3. Master: Adjustment for the distance between the detectors.
Adjust the DIST potentiometer in combination with DIP switch S1[1-2] so that the DIST LED turns OFF. (App. 1.5Vpp - 2Vpp in TP400)
4. Master: Adjustments for the type of detectors
Adjust the ANT SIZE potentiometer in combination with DIP switch S1[3] so that the ANT SIZE LED
turns OFF.
5. Slave: Adjustment for the distance between the detectors.
Adjust the DIST potentiometer in combination with DIP switch S1[1-2] so that the DIST LED turns OFF. (App. 1.5Vpp - 2Vpp in TP400)
6. Slave: Adjustments for the type of detectors
Adjust the ANT SIZE potentiometer in combination with DIP switch S1[3] so that the ANT SIZE LED turns OFF.
7. Set the METAL potentiometer in the middle position and observe the LED bar graph.
Test the system with a foil-lined bag (lined with at least 6-7 layers of tin foil).
Adjust the potentiometer so that the alarm is triggered (app. 5 LED’s are on).

Currently a professor of Spanish as a Foreign language (SFL) at the University of Cádiz, Spain; I´m used to being in contact with different languages and “clients”. This, and my previous experiences around the world, from Italy to Poland, USA to Morocco and UK to France, have made me quite competent at getting to the point of what people want to say from a given language into Spanish or English.
Furthermore, my thirst of knowledge – I consider myself as a curious person – has, logically, driven me to translation.
At the beginning I made translations for friends, and foes, and colleagues, free of charge as I just wanted to help spreading their knowledge into another language. Latter on, everything became a bit serious as colleagues from my University asked me to translate their articles and communications from Spanish into English; scared as I was, no one has ever complained (so far) and my translations have been published.
It has taken me a while, to assure my self-confidence and, more than a year now, I have started to take translations seriously on a professional basis.
Nowadays, I´m more than happy when a translation I made is seen as a booster for my client's business. My last translation, an installation and service manual for an electronic device, made me realize the importance of a well done job, as we are all used to see bad and incomprehensible translations worth for nothing.
CAT tools and avant-garde software, which were/are my weak points, are taking shape as I study and use them. Continuous formation and hours of practice have prooved to be very good travelling companions.
