I am an internal medicine specialist trained in Mexico. I lived in the US as a child and have lived in Mexico and worked as an English language teacher for 30+ years which makes me fluent in both English and Spanish.

During my studies as a physician I studied only in English and during my training in internal medicine I was in charge of presenting cases to foreign professors and participated as an interpreter during clinical rounds and lectures. I presently do simultaneous interpretation at congresses, seminars and medical meetings.

After graduation I worked at primary care clinics and for the last 8 years have been a critical care physician in a private hospital in Monterrey.

I am also a CPR and First Aid instructor and health consultant for community centers where I have translated books and material related to emergency care and health.

I presently work for the University of Nuevo Leon as Scientific Publications Coordinator where I write, translate and edit manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals. My translations have been published in: Biotechnology; Cancer Research; Human Reproduction, Fertility, Sterility; Medical Education; Anatomical Record; Plastic And Reconstructive Surgery; Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy; Journal of Gynecology and Obstetrics; Medical Mycology; Archives of Medical Research and many others.
