My name is Aura Luna de Chartier., I am a freelance translator, the name of my company is:

I was born in Colombia but have lived in the United States, New York City, for 27 years.
After I perfected my English in Brown University, Rhode Island, USA, and Hunter College, New York City, I had the opportunity to practice it all the time, since I was married to an American who didn´t speak Spanish.

My life in the professional and personal level has always been related to the translation and interpretation of the two languages(English-Spanish. I have worked for many years in several Banks, at their International Departments, where my responsibilities were several bilingual tasks in both languages (English-Spanish) and written translations and also interpretations,etc.

I also worked 4 years at INTERLINGUA N.Y.C. doing written translations, in different subjects, from English into Spanish and simultaneously I was attending to the University " Fashion Institute of Technology", N.Y.C. (nights), where I got my Bachellor of Arts degree, from that College.

After my return to Colombia I realized, I wanted to continue with the translation work, so I went to College to get a Degree in Translation. Now, I have a Diploma in "Written Texts Translation" from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Bogotá, Colombia. At the present time, I have (10) years experience in the translations Business and I am working free lance for different Companies.

Mi nombre es Aura Luna de Chartier. Nací en Colombia, Sur América, pero he vivido 27 años en los Estados Unidos, en la ciudad de New York.

Después de perfeccionar mi Inglés en Brown University, Rhode Island y Hunter College, New Yor City, trabajé por muchos años como Asistente Bilingue en el Departamento Internacional de varios Bancos, donde fuí responsable de traducciones escritas e interpretaciones, correspondencia bilingue,etc.

También trabajé 4 años en "Interlingua" (N.Y.C.) como traductora del Ingles al Español en diferentes temas , y simultáneamente atendía a la Universidad, Fashion Institue of Technology, N.Y.C. de la cual obtuve mi Diploma de "Bachiller en Artes."
Al volver a Colombia, me dí cuenta, que quería seguir con el trabajo de traducción y regresé a la Universidad para obtener mi diploma en "Traducción de Textos Escritos" de la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Bogotá, Colombia. Ahora tengo 10(diez) años de experiencia y trabajo como Traductora (Free-Lance).
