First, I have studied translation at CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY (Montreal) where I got a B.A. in translation (1982) and then I studied at UNIVERSITÉ DE MONTRÉAL(1985) where I obtained a M.A. in translation with specialization in Macroeconomics (English-French). I also studied Pedagogy at Université du Québec à Montréal (1988).
I taught French in LaSalle College in Montreal from 1982 up to 1989.
I moved to Spain in 1989. Since then I have worked as a freelancer. My translation studies were homologated to the Spanish diploma "Licenciado en Traducción e Interpretación (Francés-Español) by 1996.
I have been working as a translator for over 35 years. I translate in many different fields, but I am best at translating business and technical literature. I translate both form English into Spanish and French into Spanish. As I was born in Canada and studied there, I also master the French Canadian, though I mainly translate in standard France French. I have clients from around the world and some of them from Canada and the States.
By 1987 I started to work with CAT tools. I have attended in-class TRADOS 2007 course and later on webinars for the three levels of TRADOS STUDIO 2009. I have been working with TRADOS STUDIO 2011, 2014, 2015 and finally TRADOS STUDIO 2017 since it was launched.
Apart from translation, I frequently do voice-over work in recording studios. I do that in French of course.
The French language is my passion!
