My bilingual French-Dutch education with both parents being languages professors naturally braught me to study languages. I finished my Master's degree in translation (Spanish/German) in 1992 and had a rich career in several domains, always involving languages one way or another.

After diving into economics and finishing a PhD in applied economics in 2006, I ended up working as a translator at a qualitative small agency in 2016 (French <> Dutch and English/German/Spanish > French/Dutch).

My employer suggested I should take the postgraduate course in interpreting. After succeeding in the admission test, I followed the courses in consecutive and simultaneous interpretation (French <> Dutch) in 2018/2019.

I have first and foremost been interpreting ever since, even if I continued translating, reviewing translations and taking notes in meetings.

In March 2023, our firm was acquired by a larger company. Hence, I decided it was time for me to start as an independant interpreter, translator and note take in the summer of 2023.

The variety of jobs I had in the past is of great value to swiftly get any kind of text, vocabulary and context. The translation and interpreting business feeds my curiosity continuously.
