20+ years of experience in the technical translation market, working in a variety of subjects and with some incursions into the literary field.
More than 9 years devoted to the IT industry, both as a free-lancer and as an internal translation consultant at PeopleSoft, Inc., in São Paulo branch. My experience in the software industry includes translation, editing, proof-reading, testing and bug reporting of UI and documentation (electronic and hardcopy), such as user guides, training kits, operating manuals, user manuals, marketing texts and Internet content.
For two times, hired as an ERP system translation tester for the USA (UI QA, bug report, translation checking, DTP alignment and running).
Other activities include: glossary translation, QA procedures, writing of QA manual, page alignment (basic DTP) and terminological research and standardization.
As an independent translator, my focus has broadened on the technical translation field and currently includes the following areas:

Chemical and pharmaceutical industries, Industrial Safety /Industrial Standards (ISO), Medical (Clinical trials, brochures and equipments)
