Hello, my name is Mariana. I have been working as a freelance translator and interpreter since 2010, specialising in public services (law, healthcare and government agencies) from Spanish into English and vice versa. I have also experience on texts on sustainability and marketing. I perform interpreting services in Mexico City (in-person) and through different platforms worldwide. Certified Medical Interpreter by the in-company NBCMI alliance programme, and volunteering humanitarian translation for Translators without Borders.
I have a degree in Interpreting with a minor in Comparative Law, and I am in the process of obtaining certification as an expert in forensic linguistics.
My full-time work is in public diplomacy, mainly in issues of protocol, migration, modern slavery and organised crime.
I live in Mexico City, where I was born and raised.
