Born in Fortaleza, Brazil, my passion for language learning started at the age of 12, when I first enrolled in an English course, which changed my life henceforth and inspired me to consistently improve my language skills not only in Portuguese and English, but also in French, Spanish and most recently German and Chinese Mandarin - those two still a work in progress.

My professional background is in General Medicine with a Masters degree in Public Health. Notwithstanding my inclination towards health care related topics, I also enjoy reading a variety of other subjects, including social sciences, psychology, philosophy, bioethics, history, eastern religions, integrative medicine, esoterism, literature and poetry. 

I believe that being able to translate health care related material is a way of making both my passion for languages and my professional expertise merge into a meaningful and useful service for the benefit of all beings.
