Bio
About me

I'm a native Spanish speaker fluent in English and I have a Bachelor's Degree in Translation by Universidad Tecnológica Americana, UTECA.
My working areas are multimedia and legal translation.

Previous working experience

I worked as an intern for a subtitling studio translating movies for their premier at movie theaters. It was a dream come true; I discovered a whole new world, as diverse and fast-paced as it was satisfying. During my time there, I participated in many movies: from homemade documentaries, to Hollywood movies, from action, to anime, to historical dramas. My favorite project is still "An Officer and a Spy" (J'accuse) by Roman Polanski. It was a new challenge. As it was a high-profile movie, it needed constant revision and it allowed me to make use of my knowledge of French.

Some years later and until recently, I worked as an English>Spanish translator for Shopee Mexico. Here I learned so much about the industry, translating a variety of documents and means. From product titles and e-learning courses, to legal documents and even an app! it was a wonderful experience, where I got to meet some really wonderful colleagues and friends. Sadly, it stopped local operations on September 10th, and our journey together ended much earlier than any of us had expected. It was an amazing opportunity for which I will always be grateful.

Plans for the present and near future

Now I am specializing in Legal translation and soon hope to take a new course on subtitling.
