I, Saibal Banerjee, a native Bengali, started working as a freelance translator approximately 5 years ago.  I was working as a medical transcriptionist for a decade but left that job due to my passion for language.

Medical is my preferable domain. Except this, I do have good grasp in Psychology, Science, Arts and Humanities, Biology / Biotechnology, History, Media and Entertainment, Technology, Cooking, Sports, and Vedic Astrology. Although, it would be my pleasure if I get a chance to work in any other domain by which I can enhance my knowledge.

Apart from Bengali and English, I do have a good grasp in Hindi, which I am using since my childhood and nowadays learning Spanish and Japanese for few months.

I do know CAT tools like Memsource and also gathering knowledge on other translation tools like SmartCat, MateCat, and Trados.

As a freelance translator, I worked with various clients and translated their documents from English to Bengali without getting any negative feedback from them.

Along with translation, I also do transcription, subtitling, subtitle translation, and transcreation.
