I'm a Freelance Translator with decades of experience translating from English and French into Spanish. I have a BA from a Montreal, Quebec, University and a Certificate in English-Spanish Translation from the University of Toronto (SEL) In addition to my undergraduate and graduate work in Canada, I also completed my first twelve years of schooling in Latin America (Chile), all of which has given me a strong language-related background and a solid foundation both in English and Spanish.

Having worked from 1990 to 2015 as a Student Advisor at a Canadian university and trained as a Life Coach (Erickson International, Vancouver, Canada) I have also accumulated extensive experience and professional development in the areas of Education and Wellness.

Born in Vina del Mar, Chile, I settled in Canada nearly thirty-five years ago and have frequently travelled in Spain and the Caribbean, becoming well acquainted with many of the regionalisms of the Spanish language.

My translation experience includes assignments with the Montreal Children`s Hospital as well as with academic institutions in the area of Montreal and South America. I have worked in the fields of Sociology, Political Science, Environmental Science, Housing and Education. My professional work however, is not limited to these technical or academic areas as I enjoy above all working for clients who require support with personal matters such as letter-writing, translation of legal documents or translation and communication for vacation-related purposes.

Finally, beyond all of my academically sound training in Translation and other disciplines, you will find the passion that I feel for the written word.
