Bio
Nataša Šprljan was born in Zadar in 1981. She studied French and Russian languages and litterature at the University of Zadar where she gratuated in 2006.
Since 2008, she has been working as an assistant at the Center for the Adriatic Onomastic Research of the University of Zadar. In June 2015 she obtained a PhD degree in Croatian dialectology.
Her teaching comprises classes and exercices of French phonetic transcription. Translations from French to Croatian are very often part of her work at the Center.
She speaks fluently and writes French and English as well as Russian, Italian and Spanish on an intermediate level.
Her experience with translations:
Since 2004 she did consecutive translations of workshops and seminars of a Columbian sociologist Jose Gonzalez; from French, Italian and Spanish to Croatian and vice versa.
In the period from 2006 to 2010 a great number of her translations from English and Russian to Croatian and vice versa were published for Croatian publishers Marjan Tisak, Taktika nova, Aion, the Slovenian publisher Alkemist.
