Bio

I am a translator, conference interpreter, and journalist with more than eight years' experience communicating between cultures in English, Italian, and Spanish.

To be a journalist is to communicate ideas so that they are easy to understand. By the same token, to translate and interpret is to transmit ideas so that they are easy to understand — but across cultures as well.

I work with agencies and multinational companies from Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Latin America.

I focus on technical fields. I started by specializing in oil & gas and diplomacy. Along the way, I have added other sectors that I enjoy, such as manufacturing, fashion, e-commerce, marketing, medicine, institutional communications, and international meetings.

I have carried out translation and interpreting projects that span several areas, such as international and humanitarian institutions, high-tech machinery companies, luxury brands, political representatives, international conferences, medical events, and business courses.

  • As a translator, I use the latest and most advanced technologies, such as PC and cloud-based CAT tools, glossaries, and proofreading and editing tools.
  • As an interpreter, I work and manage projects using also the new RSI platforms.

-

I am also a professional journalist, and I make good use of this asset in my translation and interpreting work.

How?

By using the tools of the journalism trade: thoroughly investigating a topic and its cultural context and writing and expressing ideas clearly, effectively, as creatively as needed, and, above all, with curiosity and commitment.
