The written word is not just a way of communicating, for me is a real passion.
I was born in Argentina of Italian descendent. I lived for many years in Asuncion, Paraguay and I am currently living in England since 2001.
Spanish is my mother tongue and English is the language that I love an try to perfect every day. After 12 years living in England i fell in love not only with the language but with the british culture as well.
When I first come here I worked in a money remittance company, getting in contact with many language combinations, however, that wasn't for me after all and just continue my path with translation.
I actually started my translation career very young, my first job was with a freelance translator, a british gentleman that lived in Paraguay most of his life. After that, I went to work in the Office of the United Nations' in Paraguay. There I had the oportunity to use my english skills more often.
I discovered there that the world is big after all, and the time to start the discovery of the world has arrived there and then. I really think that the hunger for more experience, as well as the quest for perfection of my translation skills broght me to live in England.
I've done the ESOL Course in Guildford, Surrey - United Kingdom this is the (English for Speakers of Other Languages) is an internationally recognized certificate for non-english speakers that want to have a high level qualification. 2010-2011
After that, I went to do the Post Graduate level course on translation at the University of Westminster in London, United Kingdom, 2011-2012
I used to do voluntary work for OXFAM in Spain, as a voluntary translator back in 2011. I am currently collaborating for a latin american weekly newspaper in London, the ExpressNews. My translation work is published there every week in various subjects (news and general information).
