Since 2009 I have been working regularly as a translator, proofreader and subtitler EN,DE>ES,CA in the fields of Tourism, Art, Advertising, Culture, Education, Gastronomy, Medical, Law, Architecture, Construction, Ceramics and Logistics among others. I am familiar with the use of CAT Tools such as Trados, Wordfast or Subtitling Workshop. I hold experience as a translation project manager of large multilingual project for Versal Translations.
My mother tongues are Spanish and Catalan and I have a deep knowledge of English and German. In 2007 I qualified after a 4-year BA Degree in Translation and Interpretating. In 2009 I did an University online course on Translation Project Management. At the moment I am studying a distance-learning Master’s Degree in Translation and Localisation. As for complementary education on languages, in 2008 I lived and worked in the UK and in 2009 I obtained my Cambridge University Certificate of Proficiency in English. Today I live in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
I am passionate about my work. I restrict by the essential meaning that lays behind the words. Words reflect of a given culture or discipline and should be handled with sensitivity.
