In over twenty years, I have gathered vast experience in translation, editing and proofreading of highly specialized technical texts. I participated in translation projects for big international companies as well as other smaller and medium enterprises and language services providers. In the most technical fields I collaborated in engineering projects ranging from aerospace systems and railway infrastructure to feasibility reports. Also, I worked for the largest IT company in Germany on their marketing materials (campaigns, sales, pre-sales, etc.) and have worked for a British company that develops software for mining companies in Latin America.
I was the Project Manager and Resource Manager for a translation agency for eight years. This position gave me the chance to see the whole translation process from both sides, and I have greatly leveraged all that knowledge by applying it to my freelance career. Therefore, I can understand an agency’s process and procedures, am a good team player, am methodical to work and never fail a delivery.
Regardless of the assignment, I base my work on two principles: respect for the client’s needs and compliance with the highest quality standards.
