I posses cultural knowledge and insight acquired through 16 years living, studying and working in Spain and France. I have 18 months in-house translation experience gained at BNP Paribas, London, the French global bank, combined with excellent translation and writing skills.

A broad-based background working for NGOs, government and the corporate sector combined with academic studies, puts my translation experience into context.

In the year 2000, following the merger of BNP and Paribas, I was responsible for setting up an in-house translation service. My 18 months in-house experience within the IT sector of the bank prompted me to fine tune my translation skills and I qualified with a Masters in Translation Studies in the spring of 2007.

Throughout the summer of 2007 I worked as a translator for the French company Velvet European Management. I translated a variety of texts including recruitment profiles, marketing copy, F1 sporting newsletters and government administration.

Having decided to set up my own business, in 2008 I joined the ITI’s Professional Support Group - an on-line business course for freelancers run by highly qualified and experienced translators. I have been working in a freelance capacity since September 2007.
