WORKING EXPERIENCE

After obtaining my university degree from the School of Languages, Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, in 1999, I worked as an in-house translator for the Secretary of Student and Foreign Affairs of the University. Later on, I got my first-hand experience of the translation business in an internship at Precision Translating Services, Inc., one of the most prestigious translation agencies of Miami, Florida. Back in Argentina, I worked as a freelance translator for several agencies and clients, both local and from abroad. In 2001, together with my partner, Virginia Minhondo, we founded delsurtranslations with the aim of providing our clients with more complete linguistic solutions. I have participated as translator, editor and proofreader in projects of the most varied fields: commercial and insurance (contracts, affidavit, financial and bank statements, credit union documents); legal (depositions, marriage, birth and death certificates, diplomas and transcripts); telecommunications and IT (IBM, Windows, Office, Lotus Notes, Symantec tutorials); localization (web pages, SAP, etc.); medical and health related projects (informed consents, patient’s rights, research protocols, medication inserts, and other publications of the sort); fashion and cosmetology; tourism (airline and hotels brochures).
