During the course of obtaining my degree in Spanish I met and married an Argentine national. For thirteen years we maintained a bilingual household for our children, and I assisted her in acquiring her credential as a Certified Court Interpreter for the State of California, while she helped me with my studies. During the last 8 years of my career as a mortgage professional, I worked with Spanish-speaking clients, interpreting for them and routinely translating related documents (e.g., purchase agreements, disclosures, mortgage notes, loan applications, supporting documentation, etc.). I am well versed with all the context and terminology specific to real estate and mortgage origination, as well as related fields, such as contract law and statutes.
