In-house translation and interpreting experience:
o Proof-reading texts translated from the French or Spanish while working for a freelance consultant setting up helplines across Europe for drug users, gambling, immigrants etc.
o Interpreting for English-speaking clients in Spanish home appliance repair service provided for expatriates.
o Translation and interpreting in an estate agent and mortgage providing company, copywriting, advertising properties, translating contracts, deeds and other legal documents and letters, and interpreting during signings and whenever necessary.
Education:
o BA joint honours degree in English and History from Leeds University
o Certificate in TEFL (teaching English as a second /foreign language)
Teaching:
10 years teaching experience, including academy work and private classes,
developing resources, and preparation for the Cambridge First Certificate and Proficiency exams.

Originally from Wales, I live in Valencia with my Spanish husband and children.

o A lifelong passion for the cinema, with an extensive collection of films and books, specialising in film noir of 1940’s

o Music, both playing (grade 8 piano, grade 5 music theory and clarinet) and listening

o Travel, in the USA, Europe and within Spain
