Does anyone know what these are called in English please?
Everytime I search for "Garfitos" the browsers change it to "Grafitos"
They are like "Gusanitos" but with different flavours.

Sorry I can't give more context, it is just a list of products to be translated into English

Exactly the same is true of "ganchitos"; despite the name, they're usually more or less straight:

(By the way, I hate these things and never buy them. They taste horrible and get stuck in your teeth. But I have sons who used to love them, though they've fortunately outgrown their addiction.)

Re. Rachel's comment: no, garfitos are mostly barely curved at all and quite a lot of them are basically straight. And exactly the same is true of "cheese curls", as these images show:

I think garfitos/ganchitos are always cheese flavoured; in any case, apparently these are, so there's no problem in calling them cheese curls. And as for the fact that they may contain no actual cheese, that's not a problem either: you're allowed to use "cheese" like this to refer to a flavour.

is spot on, as a comparative image search for "garfitos de maíz" versus "cheese curls" confirms to my satisfaction, at least. "Garfitos" means the same as "ganchitos" (a common name for these things as well), and it describes the shape: a hook or crook shape. It's a diminutive of "garfio". Actually they are just slightly curved, not actually hooked, but still.

"Cheese curls" is not a brand name; it's generic. So it can be freely used. There's no need to mention corn; they're always made of corn.

Curls/puffs are quite similar. So, Eileen, however you wish to call them, but as Marie said "corn .... (cheese flavoured) or "cheese flavoured corn ....", or "snacks" as previously suggested.

Hi Taña, yes, that is another option. And Eileen, cheese-flavoured is fine but I would avoid cheese on its own. So could put "cheese-flavoured corn ( whatever)"

It does say "sabor de queso," so I will use "cheese flavour" I didn't include it in the question because I just didn't know how to translate "garfitos."

Although cheese isn't in original title so I'm not sure if you should add that. Also, putting cheese might be misleading as the flavour is probably chemical, no real cheese involved.

Yes it does indeed, thank you, seems they use that name instead of "Cheetos" etc. I couldn't find them using my Google search, don't know why I may need to re set my browser. Thank you very much

Explicación:
"Garfitos" is just the name that the manufacturer has given, so as not to use cheetos or gusanitos, etc. I don't see how you can translate that. You could call them Garfito corn snacks. Here is a thread on a similar predicament:

There are probably quite a few names for them, Eileen. I'm not really familiar with corn puffs but it's probably the same thing. They are all corn snacks I suppose but have different names depending on their form. Yucky no, they're delicious!

Usuario que pregunta: Ahhh, so Cheetos, etc are registered names Marie. Thank you very much for your help. I also found corn puffs, but not sure that they are the same as "gusanitos" as I no longer live in the UK and haven't seen such things in the shops and rarely look for them. Yuckkky Ha ha ha.
