pícaro Explicación: Malicioso could be an alternative but malicioso already implies the negative connotation of the second sentence, and from the context of the text: To all the others, Barak looked happy, as he usually does, sky in acting. But he looked at the Christian and his mother with demonic evilness in his eyes. I feel the author tries to make a contrast: He looked happy and sly BUT in fact he was demonic and malicious. I would use "pícaro" which is a term one could use to describe a playful child that is up to no good, but not necessarily evil. https://dle.rae.es/pícaro |
