El autor está denunciando el plagio de citas en la obra en cuestión: Passages from this article, and from the books named above, are scattered about in the text of Faith, as well as in the annotations thereon, ""which latter are admitted to be the work of Wilson"""

*Latter* would translate into Spanish as *estos* and not as *luego*. Also, the English is in the present tense, and there is no reason the Spanish shouldn't be as well (especially given that the "historic present" if far more common in Spanish than in English).

: Just a quick note on this - "THE latter" translates into Spanish as "éstos" or "éstos últimos", but "latter" just by itself, as shown, translates as "finalmente" or "hacia el final". That's how I see it, at least.

You are wrong about this: the sentence uses an archaic structure, which is the equivalent of "and the latter are admitted to be the work of Wilson". There is obviously a previous stated or implied reference in the text to "former" works of Wilson.

: I would say "estos últimos" for clarity.

Thank you. Perhaps adding "ultimos", as you suggest, would be best.

"Which latter", refieriéndose a los comentarios no tiene sentido ningún sentido en el texto, que coincido sería la traducción.
Usando later, se estaría refiriendo a los libros y al artículo que se han plagiado y que luego pasan a ser reconocidos como si fueran de Wilson. Una obviedad, dicho sea de paso.
Qué se hace en estos casos?
