myeloid cells with immunofluorescent typing proteins for maturity
I used to do a lot of flow cytometry and this marker just doesn't exist as far as I can see. Ask the writer what he means by IFTP. Some possible lead are I-type lectin family;CD33,

IFTP could mean FITC (fluorescin isothiocyanate), or some form of FITC-bound protein (P could be protein except that CD65 is a Oligosaccharide component of a ceramide dodecasaccharide, which isn´t protein). FITC is fluorescent chemical structure which is coupled to antibodies which then label cells for FACS analysis. The two other common \"stains\" are PE (phycoerythrin) and isothyanal red. All of which have different emmitance wavelengths, permitting their simultaneous analysis or double or triple marking of the same cell.
A shot in the dark is the abbreviation for thromboxane receptors (TP, dont ask me why they abbreviate it this way). As in immunoflurescent thromboxane receptors. These receptors do exist on myeloid cells. But I have never seen any use them for FACS staining.
Good luck.

: i think this came from google. myeloid cells don't have flagellae.

I used to do a lot of flow cytometry and this marker just doesn't exist as far as I can see. Ask the writer what he means by IFTP. Some possible lead are I-type lectin family;CD33, E selectin ligands. Look in pubmed (www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov) in the book section or articles by searching for cell surface markers for mature myeloid cells. There are 1000s of hits. I think that it would be more worthwhile to consult the writer though. Or try giving me more text. Would love to help more. Jeff
