English translation: bracketing (standard)

Medical - Medical: Pharmaceuticals / HPLC to identify an active substance
Spanish term or phrase: corchetea a las soluciones
Explanation: The word I am unsure about in both these phrases is "corchetea":

Calcule la relación factor respuesta (RFR) para los dos estándares (Estándar S1 y Estándar S2) que corchetean a una secuencia de inyecciones de muestra.

Calcule la concentración (C) para la Solución estándar que corchetea a las soluciones muestra en miligramos de Eletriptan por mL.

The obvious translations (bracket, staple) don't fit. Maybe it just means 'join'?
This question has been asked before here but not answered. Any ideas much appreciated!

English translation:bracketing (standard)
Explanation:

Calcule la concentración (C) para la Solución estándar que corchetea a las soluciones muestra en miligramos de Eletriptan por mL

Calculate the concentration (C) for the standard solution bracketing (that is the bracketing standard, i.e. calculating the bracketing standard for) the sample solutions in milligrams of Eletriptan per mL.

Why use bracketing standard in hplc?

Bracketing is a simplified direct calibration method used to compensate for the variation on instrument response with time. Typical use is for detector response deteriorating or for sample containing compounds staining the column or interacting with it.

Bracketing standards (standard solution injections) should be included in the sample set, at defined intervals, where appropriate.

Inject in duplicate 10 μl portions of each sample solution (S1, S2, …,etc.) bracketing them by single injections of calibration solutions (CA and CB) using the following sequence:

Just out of interest from the linguistic point of view: 'corchetes' are 'square brackets' while 'paréntesis' are 'brackets' in Spanish. The verb 'corchetear' does not exist in Spanish, at least is not listed in the RAE. It seems that this is a translation from the English term 'bracketing' used in chemistry.

corchetear
to bracket

Explanation:
I don't know about "staple", but I had to translate this word several years ago, so I have "to bracket" for "corchetear" in my personal glossary. I don't know if they use it in other countries, but the source text back then was from Mexico.

staple the solutions

Explanation:
Yo diría ‘staple’ (staple the solutions) en el sentido de ’essencial’ ya que tenemos la definición de ‘staple’:
staple
(adjective) in the sense of principal
Definition
of prime importance
Staple goods are disappearing from the shops. [https://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english-thesaur...]
Y tenemos como sinónimo essential (the same link)
