neutral philgoddard : An acquisition IS a transfer. // Other languages treat sale and purchase as two separate transactions. English doesn't. It's one or the other, depending on which party's perspective you view it from.

They are not the same thing, just like "purchase and sale" are not the same thing.
agree neilmac : As I see it, cession/acquisition are two opposite sides of the same coin, so I think it prudent to keep this in the translation.
