I have been a translator since 2005, when I moved to South Africa to gain experience translating for banks and companies that had businesses in Portuguese-speaking countries.

I translated for an IRIN/UN news agency that was directed at the Portuguese-speaking public for two years. I produced content for a travel agency website and blog for three years. I currently mostly work for Language Service Providers. Previously, I taught Latin, English, and Portuguese.

As a Brazilian based in Portugal since 2008, I work with both Portuguese variants, and I have degrees in European and Brazilian Portuguese linguistics that I obtained from UNESP (Brazil) as well as from the University of Coimbra (Portugal).

I have a passion for humanities in general, but I also specialize in translating texts in the areas of arts and medicine as well as subtitling mostly marketing material. I am also interested in expanding my subtitling skills to other fields.
