Growing up to a Portuguese father and a Swedish mother and attending an English school since kindergarden, I've flourished naturally with different languages around me my entire life. By the young age of 10 I spoke four languages fluently, having acquired French through my French stepmother and her loving family. At 15 I learned Spanish fluently after taking yearly car trips from Portugal to France and learning from my father who is also a polylglot that speaks 7 languages. 

Throughout highschool and the first years of University I helped my French cousins with their English homework, either translating entire texts from French to English or proofreading and editing what they had written in English.

From 2012 to 2015 I did a bachelor's degree in English Literature and Linguistics, with Copy-editing and Phonetics being my favourite subjects. 

I am extremely passionate about the ways in which the mind works through different languages, how we learn languages and how the same message can be conveyed through different languages. I am passionate about translating, copy editing and interpreting. Language is such an important gateway to understanding and getting to know new cultures and ways of experiencing the world.

Currently I give English, French and Portuguese tutoring in Pico Island in the Azores, Portugal. I am perfecting my Italian which is currently at an intermediate level, and learning Dutch.
