Welcome to the NOC. In the interest of permitting the NOC. to exist and to serve the outdoor recreation community without fear of liability we ask you to read and signed this paper.
In this part you will understand the risks involved in the activity (ies) in which you will participate. Your signature below indicates your understanding that the terms "outdoor activity" or "activity" encompass all aspects of the activity, including preliminary and subsequent matters such as, but not limited to, getting outfitted for the activity, maintaining, repairing, loading or unloading equipment or gear, and travel to and from the place of activity. If, after reading this waiver you choose not to participate, please call our reservations office.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK
I understand and accept that outdoor activities such as paddling an inflatable craft, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, backpacking, climbing, rappelling, canopying, horse ridding, expose me to numerous known and unanticipated risks which could result in personal injury, illness, death or damage to myself or my property. Some of the risks or factors creating risk include, but are not limited to the following:
-the hazards of travel in an inflatable craft, canoe, kayak in rough water conditions
-water hazards including boulders, trees and other obstacles, waterfalls, hydraulics and other water formations
-swimming/floating ¡n unfamiliar and sometimes turbulent water
-using paddles, ropes and other paddling equipment
-man-made objects in the river including but not limited to; ropes, bridge pilings and metal junk
-carrying, loading or unloading of, inflatable craft, canoes, kayaks and other river equipment
-falling and breaking bones or sustaining some other severe injury
-first aid or emergency treatment that may be rendered ,
-accidents or illness in remote places without medical facilities
-falling/fallen rocks
-using ropes and. other climbing equipment
-climbing on the Alpine Tower or Ropes Challenge Course
-hiking or walking in rugged terrain, including slippery rocks
-hazards of traveling on and off road on a bicycle
-hazards of riding on steep and/or rough terrain, especially mountain biking
-injuries inflicted by animals, insects, reptiles or plants
-hypothermia (cold) or hyperthermia (heat)
-the forces of nature including lightning, weather changes, river level changes, and others not name
-my physical condition, the physical exertion associated with outdoor activities
-travel in a vehicle not driven by me
I agree to accept and assume all responsibility for and risk of personal injury, illness, death or damage to myself and my property arising from my participation in this activity. My participation is voluntary; I choose to participate in spite of these named and other unnamed risks. I am solely responsible for deciding to engage in this activity. I am solely responsible for deciding what equipment to take, whether to scout or run any rapid and whether to participate in any rescue or recovery of equipment. I am solely responsible for deciding whether to participate or continue on any river trip.
I understand my responsibility in decision-making. I agree to obey all NOC rules and regulations while participating in this outdoor activity, and while on NOC property.
I HAVE CAREFULLY READ AND UNDERSTAND THIS ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK, I AM AWARE THIS AN ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND I SIGND IT VOLUNTARILY. I ALSO UNDERSTAND YHAT I SHOULD NOT AND MAY NOT PARTICIPATE IN THIS ACTIVITY IF Y AM UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS.

Bienvenido a NOC. En beneficio de la existencia de NOC al servicio de la comunidad de la recreación al aire libre sin riesgo alguno de responsabilidad, le solicitamos tenga a bien leer y firmar el presente.
En esta sección conocerá los riesgos implícitos en la/s actividad/es en la/s que participará. Su firma a continuación indica que entiende que los términos “actividad al aire libre” o “actividad” abarcan todos los aspectos propios de la actividad, incluyendo, pero sin limitarse a, cuestiones preliminares o posteriores tales como equiparse para la actividad, mantener, reparar, cargar o descargar equipo o herramientas, y viajar a o desde el lugar de la actividad. En caso de que, una vez leída la presente exención de responsabilidad, decidiera no participar, tenga a bien contactar nuestra oficina de reservas.
RECONOCIMIENTO Y ASUNCIÓN DE RIESGO
Entiendo y acepto que al realizar actividades al aire libre tales como, remo en bote inflable, kayak, canotaje, caminatas, backpacking (mochileo), alpinismo, rappel, canopy y cabalgatas, estoy expuesto a varios riesgos conocidos y otros no anticipados que podrían resultar en daño físico, enfermedad, muerte o daños a mi persona o a mis bienes. Algunos de los riesgos o factores de riesgo incluyen, pero no en forma taxativa, los siguientes:
- los peligros de viajar en un bote inflable, canoa, kayak en agua brava,
- los peligros del agua incluyendo cantos rodados, árboles y otros obstáculos, cataratas, hidráulica y otras formaciones de agua,
- nadar/flotar en aguas desconocidas y en ocasiones turbulentas,
- utilizar remos, sogas y otro equipo de remo,
- objetos artificiales en el río incluyendo, pero sin limitarse a, sogas, pilotes de puentes y basura metálica,
- transportar, cargar y descargar botes inflables, canoas, kayaks y otro equipo de río,
- caída y quebradura de huesos o sufrimiento de alguna otra lesión severa,
- primeros auxilios o tratamiento de emergencia que pudiera administrarse,
- accidentes o enfermedad en lugares remotos sin instalaciones médico-asistenciales,
- caída / rocas caídas,
- utilizar sogas y otro equipo de alpinismo,
- escalar la Alpine Tower (Torre Alpina) o participar del Curso de Sogas (Ropes Challenge Course),
- excursión a pie o caminata en terreno accidentado, incluyendo terrenos resbaladizos cubiertos de rocas,
- los peligros de andar en bicicleta sobre la calzada y fuera de la misma,
- los peligros de andar en terreno empinado y/o accidentado, especialmente ciclismo de montaña,
- lesiones ocasionadas por animales, insectos, reptiles o plantas,
- hipotermia (en condiciones de frío) o hipertermia (en condiciones de calor),
- las fuerzas de la naturaleza incluyendo relampagueo, cambios climáticos, cambios de caudal en el río, y otros no mencionados,
- mi estado físico, el esfuerzo físico vinculado a las actividades al aire libre,
- viajar en un vehículo que no conduzco.
Me comprometo a aceptar y asumir toda responsabilidad por y riesgo de daño físico, enfermedad, muerte o daños a mi persona o a mis bienes como consecuencia de mi participación en esta actividad. Mi participación es voluntaria; elijo participar a pesar de los riesgos antes mencionados y de otros no indicados. Soy responsable exclusivamente de mi elección de participar en esta actividad. Soy responsable exclusivamente de mi decisión respecto de qué equipo llevar, navegar o correr en un rápido y de participar en alguna actividad de rescate o recuperación de equipo. Soy responsable exclusivamente de mi decisión de participar o continuar en excursiones de río.
Conozco mi responsabilidad en la toma de decisión. Me comprometo a cumplir con toda norma y reglamento de NOC durante mi participación en esta actividad al aire libre y respecto de la propiedad de NOC.
