Bio
I am a native Spanish speaker, who is proficient in Japanese, with certificates in both Spanish Interpreting and Spanish Translation/Localization.
During the three years that I lived in Japan, I interpreted for the staff members and our customers. In addition, I took up freelance work translating medical related documents.
Returning to the US, I began work at a company that sells wires and cables to manufacturers of cars and was often asked to translate technical documents. Both Spanish and Japanese were used. My current employer is a tech company that deals mostly with Japanese subsidiary companies. I use Japanese daily, and I've translated various documents regarding software implementation. Furthermore, I am currently working as an independent contractor for a translation company that handles that translation of academic papers, as well as an interpreter for hospitals in the Illinois area.
I've had the opportunity to work in various fields and I am constantly looking to broaden my area of expertise. I am a highly motivated individual with a deep passion for bringing cultures together through language.
